New Pet Training Technology Invented By Ex-Military Dog Trainer May Be The Solution to All Pet Behavior Problems!
Let’s face it, we’ve all been home a lot more lately during the pandemic and the last thing we need are more distractions!
I’ve had lots of pets over the years and have tried all sorts of pet training products and devices but nothing ever worked except for obedience school which was expensive and time consuming. Normally I wouldn’t have given much thought to some new pet training gadget on the internet and just accepted the fact that I chose to take on the responsibility of owning a dog but the problem is, it’s not my dog!
Yep, I live in an apartment complex and my neighbors annoying ankle-biter barks and bolts after every ankle that walks by and just so happens to live on the first floor with free reign to the courtyard which was my only escape for fresh air during a pandemic …until my neighbors adopted their vicious 90 lbs bully, JJ.
Ok, so JJ is actually kinda cute and maybe weights 20 lbs soaking wet, and I’ve never actually seen him bite anyone but people don’t typically hang around the courtyard for long when JJ’s around. It’s kind of like having a car alarm that keeps going off outside your window, but instead of turning the alarm off, the owners just come out from time to time and softly say “no no” to the car thinking this alone will be enough to shut the car alarm off.
After weeks of interrupted Zoom calls and zero focus left, I finally broke down and bought some random gadget I found on the internet. The gadget was called, BarxBuddy.
Now I’ve tried similar items in the past, so I wasn’t very optimistic BarxBuddy would actually work, but it was 50% off, already reasonably priced, and has a 30 day money back guarantee, so I had nothing to lose.
BarxBuddy uses ultrasonic technology to produce high pitched tone over 30,000 Hertz which specifically target a dog’s hearing and can’t be heard by humans. Now before anyone gets upset, BarxBuddy is completely harmless to pets, but it does stop them in their tracks!
A few days later, my BarxBuddy finally arrived! Like clockwork JJ started his morning routine and I was ready to give my new pandemic purchase a whirl!
Not knowing if the sound would penetrate through the window, I decided to go on the balcony and in range of the barking dog. When the dog started barking, I pressed the button and for the first time, silence! .…no way did that just happen. I was in total disbelief and somehow still not convinced it was the device and not coincidence.
The dog didn’t seem to be starting back up again so I headed back inside, but whether it was the door, the wind, or the dogs shadow, the dog started up again. I wanted to be sure, so I gave it a second before pressing the button, but when I did, there was once again silence immediately after pressing the button. I did a quick search and quickly found others having the same experience and were just as surprised as I was. I read that some guy had tried everything to control his dogs barking and aggressive behavior and he was as shocked as I was when he posted his BarxBuddy in action.
After weeks interrupted Zoom calls, I felt empowered! It was like having the remote control to the car alarm that keeps going off! I actually hadn’t told anyone about my BarxBuddy purchase until I was sure it worked. Now I’m telling everyone!
Tips:
All forms of pet training follow some variation of the same basic principle; reward, reprimand, and bribe. It’s important to praise your pets when they do good, reward them with treats to encourage repeat action (bribe), and ONLY reprimand when they misbehave.
Reward: Praise your pet with exaggerated enthusiasm EVERY time they do the desired outcome (Bathroom outside, etc.). Use high pitched tones but don’t yell. A quick yell can be effective with training but with yelling, BarxBuddy, or otherwise, if you want something to be effective, it must ONLY be paired with the action you want your pet to associate it with. For instance, don’t use your BarxBuddy after receiving it to see if it works or set your pet up for failure so you can test it to see if it works.
Reprimand: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NEVER HIT YOUR PET!! Not only is it cruel, you want your pet to love you, not fear you! To be clear, hitting your pet with a rolled up anything, is still hitting your pet! Yes, BarxBuddy is an effective training tool, but there are some DIY solutions you can try. For instance, a simple spray bottle with water can be very effective with cats. For dogs, I’ve had success with shaking coins in a tin can. You may need to get creative with stubborn animals, after trying everything with our last dog the most effective training tool was simply turning on a vacuum.
Bribe: Bribing pets with treats is highly effective with training and can be paired with reward. This works very well with teaching an animal tricks and to obey commands (roll over, sit, stay, etc.), things that you can practice routinely with your pet. It’s important to note, that this is NOT the time to use your BarxBuddy. Barx Buddy should only be used when your pet misbehaves, not because your pet didn’t roll over.
Lastly, this may seem obvious but there’s a reason I’m writing it, if the problem you are having is with barking, do not teach your dog to “speak”!
BarxBuddy is currently 50% and have a 30 day money back guarantee so you really can’t go wrong. With how popular they’re getting I’d be surprised if they continue the discount much longer so use it while you can.
